Department of Tourism Guidance was established in 2018. The aim of the department is to train qualified tourist guides and intermediate and upper level managerial candidates for the tourism and travel industry by providing qualified education based on scientific foundations. In line with these basic purposes; A person who can speak at least one of the foreign languages that have become the lingua franca of the tourism sector, a 2nd or even a 3rd foreign language, who knows and knows Turkey in the best way with its history, culture and geography, who can establish good human relations, who is solution-oriented and coordinated. We aim to train qualified tourist guides and manager candidates who can work, think analytically, have advanced management and organizational knowledge and skills, know and show Turkish hospitality well, have basic social moral values such as tolerance, courtesy, respect and honesty, and have leadership and representation skills.
Fields of work of graduates of our department: Academic career opportunities are available for independent or affiliated local, national and international tourist guides, tourist guides affiliated with travel agencies, travel agency managers, travel agency information officers, middle and senior managers in tourism businesses, and successful and prone students. Candidates who successfully complete their undergraduate education can study in postgraduate programs, provided that they receive a valid score from ALES and have sufficient knowledge of the English language.
